WETTENBERG – The residents of the Gleiberger Land senior center experienced a very special surprise.

The “Corona Ensemble” of the State Police Orchestra of Hesse delighted the senior citizens who were listening in the garden, at the open windows and on the balconies with brisk brass music.

Under the motto: “Music inspires courage”, the orchestra of the Hessian police has launched a series of concerts to compensate the residents affected by the Corona restrictions a little for the inconvenience of the past few months. Under strict hygiene regulations, with sufficient distance and in the open air, the six brass players and a percussionist delighted a grateful audience with brisk marches and waltz sounds.

A fresh wind was blowing, but luckily it stayed dry, and so the residents, wrapped in thick jackets and woolen blankets, busily shuffled and clapped along, not letting the musicians say goodbye without an encore.

The fact that music creates new courage to live could be seen on the happy faces of the older people, and the desire for a repetition of this beautiful event was expressed in many cases.
