Concerts on New Years Eve
On Thursday, Kirill Petrenko will conduct Spanish-Brazilian sounds from the Berlin Philharmonic live for the radio audience. Already from 4 p.m. stream the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra a performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony on hers website. The theater and opera director Christoph Marthaler staged the fourth movement for the project “Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. A symphony without a choir. In three movements and one action”, led by chief conductor Sylvain Cambreling. The concert and Marthaler’s action will then be available as a video.
New Years Concerts
Riccardo Muti and the Wiener Philharmoniker start the new year with waltz melodies – this time without an audience. From 11.15 a.m. listen to the live broadcast from the Great Hall of the Vienna Musikverein on NDR Kultur. In addition to works from the well-known Strauss repertoire, unknown or seldom performed compositions by contemporaries such as Carl Millöcker, Carl Zeller or Karl Komzák are on the program.
