Mushrooms. Grimber has just released his first rap mini album

Fan of Guizmo, PNL and Columbine, Nathan Caillo dreams of a career at the top of the bill. At 18, the apprentice baker from Longwy, who has been living in Champigneulles since August 2020, has decided to get started by releasing his first mini-EP rap album that can be listened to on music streaming platforms such as Deezer, Spotify, or even YouTube.

“The EP is made up of five songs and was released on February 10,” says the young man singing under the artist name Grimber. I have been writing my songs for two or three years but I was waiting to have more maturity to offer them to an audience. “

To get started, Nathan turned to Josse Gérard, at the head of the Josse’Singer studio, located rue de Nancy, in Champigneulles. It was he who took care of the recordings, the mixes and produced the video for the mini-album, the flagship title of which is called “Far from home”, a song marked by nostalgia on the theme of friendship.

“This song evokes the last summer I spent in Longwy and the strong moments with my friends that I left there. I had to leave Longwy to find work in a bakery. I go back there once a month. “

Sensitivity to the skin

Through his songs, the talented Grimber expresses the emotions of a youth faced with the economic and social crisis, with all its anxieties and hopes.

In the very beautiful title entitled “Drunk heart”, the young man says “forbid himself happiness” because he “is too afraid”, revealing a sensitivity on edge. Among the songs he particularly likes, there is also “Vavrona”, a mirror reflection of our time.

“Vavrona is a place in Greece where I went on vacation,” says the author. In this song, I evoke a social reality: the poverty of its inhabitants. It is a vision that contrasts with that of a postcard offered to tourists. “

By being present on musical platforms, Nathan Caillo, says Grumber, hopes to catch the eye of a label to be able to publish a CD and succeed in living off his great passion. It’s all the harm we wish him …
