Ludwigshafen (dpa / lrs) – To renovate the fire protection, the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen has been closed from Monday to probably May 2021. During the work, parts of the studio and the workshop will also be improved, said a spokeswoman for the exhibition house, which opened in 1979. After the reopening, a show by the installation artist Michael Beutler is planned.
The museum has around 10,000 works, with a focus on 20th century art. The landmark of the museum is a ceramic outer wall by the Catalan artist Joan Miró (1893-1983). The art historian René Zechlin has been at the helm of the house since 2014.
