“Paris in common”, the support platform for Anne Hidalgo, candidate for his succession to the mayor of Paris, will become a “Political structure” and a federation whose ambition goes beyond the borders of the capital will also be created, we learned on Friday, June 26.
A “sustainable” political structure that “will stimulate” the municipal majority
« Our likely victory will be the fruit of the consistency of our approach and the consistency of our project ”, writes the president of “Paris in common”, Jean-Louis Missika, in a message to the members of the platform’s board of directors.
“In agreement with Anne (Hidalgo), I suggest that you continue the adventure and make Paris en Commun a long-term political structure, with strengthened governance, which will accompany, support and stimulate the municipal majority”, writes Jean-Louis Missika, current deputy mayor in charge of town planning.
The platform “Paris in common” brings together elected environmentalists (ex-EELV), socialists, communists, elected representatives of Generation. s and personalities from civil society like the former journalist Audrey Pulvar.
A national “federation”
At the national level, the lieutenant of Anne Hidalgo also wishes to create a “Federation”, which brings together all “Citizen platforms”, born on the occasion of municipal elections, “And (who) are on the way to winning great victories in big or small cities” like Marseille, Lyon or Toulouse.
“This federation will have a double mission: to propose a fundamental reflection for an authentic decentralization […] and prepare the next electoral deadlines of 2021, departmental and regional ”, adds Jean-Louis Missika, even, ultimately, presidential.
“This civic, decentralized and federative approach is the right one if we want our ideas to one day find their way back to power”, he adds.
The “Associations, unions, personalities from civil society” are invited to join this federation, like members of other close political parties, said Jean-Louis Missika, convinced that “political parties must be surpassed.
Asked about the role of these organizations for the presidential election of 2022, and the choice of Anne Hidalgo as candidate, Jean-Louis Missika once again affirmed that the socialist “Does not wish to be a candidate in the presidential election”.
