(CNN) — Much of Manhattan experienced a blackout this Friday morning, according to Con Edison’s blackout map.
Most of the disruptions are located from Upper Westside to Harlem.
Con Edison tweeted: “We are aware of a brief interruption of service in Manhattan this morning. We are investigating”.
The company later said it is investigating a problem in its transmission system that caused the outage this morning in Manhattan, the company said in a statement.
“We are investigating a problem in our transmission system that caused three networks in Manhattan to lose their power supply at approximately 5:13 this morning. Supply has been restored to those networks in the Upper West Side, Harlem and the Upper East Side. “
