The artist, Mohamed Ramadan, was keen to comment on the statements of Captain Ashraf Abolisser, the pilot who was arrested for life because of the video, “The cabin of the plane”, in which he said that the artist posted the video on social media without his knowledge.
Ramadan said, in a phone call to the “Al-Hekaya” program on MBC Egypt, that he would not give him up, adding: “He is upset for cutting off his life, and I apologize for him on the air, and whoever compensates him, I will do it.”
Ramadan continued: “The topic does not deserve all this great commotion … I actually tried to get him back to work, and the issue is affiliated with the Civil Aviation Authority, but it is an updated entity that can interfere in their work.
He added: “I did not and will not give him up .. Anything I ask is under his command .. I am neither our morals nor the morals of the country’s children. I was born in a popular region and my mother and my mother are from the West, so my prayers prevent me from giving up some extent of being harmed because of it.”
Ramadan expressed his hope that his voice will reach the civil aviation authority, to find a solution other than stopping the pilot for life.
