Sonora.id – Recently, a new variant of the corona virus has emerged which is reportedly resistant to vaccines.
The new variant is corona virus your variant, otherwise known as B.1.621. This new variant of Mu was added to the WHO watchlist since August 30, 2021 and has been detected in 39 countries.

“Virus, actually any virus, not just the covid virus, influenza virus or other viruses, it’s always possible to mutate from time to time, there are new mutations, new variants. Some people ask, how come the others haven’t heard of it, why is there always news about Covid? Because every day we stare at this Covid, we don’t pay attention to other viruses, right? So when there’s a slight movement it’s big news.” said Prof. Tjandra in an interview with Radio Sonora on Friday (10/9/2021) morning.
Professor Tjandra added, now there is a variant of Mu, without intending to scare, maybe there will be others later.
Because it is part of the life of the virus. If there is a new variant, it is not necessarily dangerous, even most of it is harmless, it’s just that for a small number of variants there are things to watch out for.
There are five things to watch out for, namely first, what is the impact on transmission, second is on the severity of the disease, when it comes to the possibility of repeated infections, fourth is the diagnosis of whether PCR can still be used, whether antigens can still be used, and fifth what is the impact on vaccines.
