Manchester United has indeed appeared promising. But challenging a degree still requires more effort, especially in the transfer market.

But however the position in the Premier League standings do not lie. MU is still stuck in fifth position with 52 points from 32 matches, two points behind Chelsea who have played 31 times.
When compared to the top two teams, Liverpool and Manchester City, the distance is even more stricter. MU is 34 points behind Liverpool who have been confirmed champions, then 11 points from Man City in second place, with both teams not yet playing their 32nd match.
Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville said Solskjaer still needs to strengthen the squad significantly. The recruitment of top class Bruno Fernandes must continue to be done if you want to compete again for the title.
“This team is far more likeable than what was here two years ago, when you think United’s recruitment has gone wrong. But I would urge caution, Manchester United is in sixth position in the Premier League,” Neville told Sky Sports. as quoted Metro.
“They have a developing squad with young players. But there is still work to be done in the transfer market to bring this team to the championship, which should be Manchester United’s ambition.”
“There is more that is needed. Three or four players with high quality like Bruno Fernandes type, to bring them to the point where they can challenge the title,” he continued.
Bruno Fernandes has gone straight since he was recruited from Sporting in January for 55 million euros. From 13 appearances, the 25-year-old midfielder scored six goals and four assists.
As an additional note, MU has never lost when Fernandes appeared.
