NEW YORK — More than a dozen people were injured, one seriously, when an MTA bus crashed head-on into an elevated subway track pillar in the Bronx Thursday morning, fire officials said. of New York City.
The FDNY says it responded to Boston Road and East Tremont Avenue after receiving a call about the crash around 8:30 a.m.
Footage from the scene showed the MTA bus’s front windshield completely shattered with glass all over the front of the vehicle.
Details about the seriously injured person were not immediately available. The other 12 people who were injured were taken to area hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, authorities said.
The investigation is ongoing.
