The first 14 countries of the ESC Video Edition Challenge
Vienna (OTS) – Netherlands, Israel, Great Britain, Armenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Iceland, Belarus, Poland, Spain, Romania, San Marino, Belgium and Cyprus – these are the 14 countries on ORF on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 at 8:15 p.m. 1 on the program of the first edition of “Mr. Song Contest proudly presents – The ‘little’ Song Contest ”stand. Andi Knoll presents the official videos of the Eurovision acts. The songs are each introduced by a specially produced TV postcard, in which the artists as well as the individual countries and their past ESC highlights are introduced to the audience.
The voting at the “little” song contest
Waterloo, Simone, Petra Frey, Manuel Ortega, Alf Poier, Eric Papilaya, Nadine Beiler, Conchita, ZOE and Cesár Sampson: Ten former song contest artists from Austria rate each song individually – based on the international ESC voting – with up to 12 points (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 or 12 points), whereby each jury member can award the same number of points to different countries several times. The points are added for each country and at the end of each broadcast a jury winner (with the most total points) is determined. After the third edition on April 18, the audience will decide among the three jury winners of the three evenings who will win the “little” song contest.

The “little” song contest online and in ORF TELETEXT:
Song contest fans can of course also comment live on Andi Knoll’s “The ‘little’ song contest” via Teletwitter, because ORF TELETEXT again offers its tried and tested service: Comments posted on Twitter (hashtag #ESCORF) can optionally be sent during the broadcasts on TV can be displayed. The tweets selected by the Teletext editorial team – for example, particularly funny or original ones – can be called up on page 780 at the bottom of the screen – similar to subtitles. Fans can then continue to watch the show and read the tweets at the same time. On ORF-TELETEXT page 781 there are detailed explanations for the Teletwitter service.
ORF.at accompanies the “small” song contest as part of the current reporting. At ORF-TVthek, all three programs are offered as live streams and as video-on-demand. In the video archive “Austria at the Song Contest” fans can indulge in their nostalgia and “look up” the Austrian appearances of past decades.

April 14, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1: broadcast 1 with the videos from 14 nations
April 16, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1: broadcast 2 with the videos from 14 nations
April 18, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1: broadcast 3 with the videos from 13 nations and then the audience voting with the three jury winners.
