Mozilla gets support thousands of add-ons from Firefox for Android – Computer – News

For people (like me) who like to use Firefox on Android, but so far just couldn’t because Firefox on Android was really janky compared to Chrome; definitely try this update! Firefox Beta on the Play Store already has it, the stable Firefox seems to be in a staged rollout. It really works a lot of better than before, and no longer inferior to Chrome. And unlike Chrome (and what is said in this article) there is support for addons (such as adblockers), there are just a limited number at the moment.

@arnoudwokke Not GeckoView, but WebRender GeckoView is the component that displays web pages (like Android’s Chromium WebView itself), and it has now been updated to take advantage of the new WebRender.
