– It is thoughtless and shows a total lack of judgment. Everything is under control now, but there is no doubt that this will have repercussions.
This is what operations manager Jøran Solheim told Dagbladet, after the emergency center was called on Friday afternoon when a man in a Finnish cap allegedly threw down a bag and shouted in a foreign language at an outdoor restaurant in the center of Stavanger.
– We received the first message at 16.28. After that, a lot of people called, says the operations manager.

The whole thing, however, turned out not to be a serious incident, but a joke from a stag party.
He says that they had patrols on site shortly afterwards, but that the call, which was armed, led to several evacuations, both of restaurant guests and other people who were in the city centre, including cruise tourists.
On Twitter, the police write that several people express that they were afraid of dying. Nor have they had the capacity to answer all the calls at the emergency centre.
