We want to prevent people from saying that they have forgotten their mouth mask or did not know they needed one, ”said Lodewijk De Witte, governor of Flemish Brabant. “When you go out, make sure you always have one with you, because you can always end up in a situation where it is mandatory or appropriate”.
The obligation does not apply to children under the age of 12. “They shouldn’t wear a mouth mask, so they shouldn’t have one with them,” said De Witte.
