Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Zamalek Club, criticized clubs that did not respond to his invitation to attend the club’s headquarters to participate in a special conference of the General Association of the Football Association.
No representative or president of the Premier League clubs was present at the Mortada Mansour conference, and a number of representatives of the clubs of other departments and youth centers were present.
“I invited the clubs to discuss the problems of the general assembly,” Mortada Mansour told reporters. “The conference witnessed a large attendance, and I consider this meeting a prelude to the January 7 session.”
He continued, “Those who did not attend the session must bear the responsibility before the fans of his club, and do not complain about the inability to solve any crisis facing his club.”
He declared, “There are inflated clubs that do not come and support the overpowering clubs, just as Zamalek does with the support of these clubs. These are the fans of their club demanding their departure from the stands.”
“The general assembly is the strongest, it is the one that comes with a board of directors and withdraws trust from another. We will sit today to set an agenda in order to arrange for a meeting on January 7,” he stressed.
“I was contacted with Amr Al-Janaini and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Amr Al-Janaini, my friend. I returned from traveling to attend this meeting so that it was not said that I was pressured to be canceled.”
“On January 7th, the attendance will not be less than 200 clubs,” he stressed.
“There is no one who dared prevent me from attending the matches, I was present in the stands and put a foot on the foot, I am not Gerg Amer who made an insulting apology some of his arrest. The court previously said that it is not permissible for a sports body to punish another body, the clubs are not members of the Olympic Committee.”
