Peñarol reported this Friday morning the death of Dario Cottiga, a member of the squad from 1961. The ex-footballer died last Saturday.

Cottiga joined the squad in 1961. He played defense and wore jersey number 16. After his retirement, he served administrative functions within the institution for 52 years.
