‘Mourinho will bring Tottenham to an end to title drought’

Jose Mourinho is believed to be bringing Tottenham Hotspur ending title drought. The Lillywhites are now at the top of the standings Premier League.

Tottenham appeared charming at the start of this season under Jose Mourinho. In the last match, they managed to beat Manchester City 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchday 9 Premier League, Sunday (22/11/2020).

These results led Tottenham to the top of the Premier League standings with 20 points. They are superior on goal difference from defending champions Liverpool who are in second place.

Winger, Tottenham, Moura believes Mourinho is able to bring the team from North London to end a title drought. The last time Spurs won a prestigious title was when they won the FA Cup in 1990/1991.

Tottenham’s hope of lifting the title actually appeared when they were coached by Mauricio Pochettino. But in the end, Tottenham just became runner up The Premier League in the 2014/2015 season and the 2018/2019 Champions League.

Moura was reluctant to discuss Tottenham’s failure with Pochettino. He emphasized that Tottenham has now opened a new page with Mourinho who is very hungry for titles.

“I do not like to talk about coaches before. I can only talk about the coaches we have now,” Moura was quoted as saying BT Sport.

“Mauricio has fun here and is doing a lot for this club. He is doing very well for the club. Now is the time to turn over a new leaf.”

“Everyone knows Mourinho. He is a winner and he has won trophies at every club.”

“I want to win with him and I think we deserve to win the trophy. In the last 10 years the club has done well – and this is the moment,” explained the Brazilian.
