Moulin Rouge! Musical Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK – One of New York City’s favorite musicals will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in a special way.

He is the winner of a Tony Award for Best Broadway Musical, Moulin Rouge! The musical, which will have a Latin American night this Wednesday 28th September at 8pm at the Al Hirschfeld Theater on Broadway. During this event, the consuls general of Latin American countries will be present to honor the Hispanic community and cast members of Latin descent.

Latin Americans have been very supportive of our show all these years, not only on Broadway, but also in other cities and countries where we have or are hosting the show, “said producer Carmen Pavlovic.

Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film comes to life on stage, mixed in a new musical extravaganza. Moulin Rouge! The musical It is a theatrical celebration of truth, beauty, freedom and above all Love.

Like in the movie, Moulin Rouge! The musical celebrates more than 160 years of music. The musical setting features many of the iconic songs from the film and also includes recent hits released since the film was released 20 years ago.

Moulin Rouge! The musical is directed by the Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, Screenplay by Tony Award Winner John Logan, Choreography by Tony Award Winner Sonya Tayeh and the musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements of Tony Award winner Justin Levine.

The current cast on Broadway is led by Ashley Loren as Satine, Derek Klena as Christian, Eric Anderson as Tony Award nominee Harold Zidler and Olivier Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Declan Bennett as the Duke of Monroth and Jessica Lee Goldyn as Nini.

Among the actors representing the Hispanic community are: Caleb Marshall-Villarreal as Santiago, Julius Anthony Rubio, Benjamin Rivera, Stephen Hernández and Raúl Contreras act with the support of the Association of Actors.

During Hispanic Heritage Month the community can use the AMOR code for a discount from September 20th to December 21st to view production.
