A motorist ran into visitors to a local café in Rijsbergen in Brabant on Sunday morning, reports Broadcasting Brabant. Two people are said to have been injured.
The incident happened around 5:30 am. The motorist would have entered the cycle path from Sint Bavostraat and hit the visitors, witnesses tell the news medium. The driver would have continued after this.
The two injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. Nothing is yet known about the seriousness of their injuries.
The police have blocked the road and are investigating on the spot.
