Motorcyclist (56) from Coevorden died in an accident in Hooghalen

A 56-year-old motorcyclist from Coevorden was killed this afternoon in a collision with a car. The accident happened on the Oude Provincialeweg near Hooghalen.

According to the police, there were many witnesses to the collision. Victim assistance is arranged for them.

Emergency services were notified of the accident around 2.15pm this afternoon. An air ambulance was also called in to provide assistance. Police are still investigating what caused the accident. “It really seems to be a fatal accident,” said a police spokesperson.
