Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil Reveals Stroke Led to Performance Postponement

LAS VEGAS – Mötley⁤ Crüe vocalist Vince ⁣Neil has revealed he suffered a stroke last Christmas, explaining the medical condition that led to the postponement of several shows and a ⁢challenging recovery process.The revelation comes in a new interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, ⁣offering insight into neil’s steadfast path back to the stage.

The stroke, which impacted the ⁢entire left side of his body, initially left Neil unable to walk and facing a grim prognosis from doctors.Despite⁢ being told‍ he might never perform again, Neil persevered ⁣through intensive rehabilitation, ultimately returning to live ⁣performance⁣ earlier this summer. This disclosure clarifies comments made ⁤during a solo show in ⁢Boston on August 1st, where he defiantly stated, “They said I wouldn’t be back on stage again. I said, ⁢’Fuck that, ⁣man.’ And I’m back and I’m with you guys ‌tonight.” The news impacts ‍fans⁤ anticipating the band’s upcoming las Vegas residency and provides context for ‌previous‌ announcements regarding Neil’s​ health.

According to Neil, the recovery was arduous. ⁣”I went from people carrying ‌me to the bathroom, because‍ I couldn’t walk myself, finally to a wheelchair. I graduated to ​a walker, and then ‍I had a cane. Now I​ don’t need anything,” he told the Review-Journal. He described the neurological challenges of regaining control, stating, “It takes‍ a while to get your brain to start moving your legs, for them to do what your brain wants to do. you try to walk ‌but it doesn’t come out right.”

Neil credited a ‍local football coach in Nashville with aiding his recovery,⁤ incorporating running into his regimen. He⁣ currently⁤ estimates he is “90-, 95-percent to⁣ where I was before” and is preparing for Mötley Crüe’s⁢ 10-date residency at a yet-to-be-named Las vegas venue, beginning September⁤ 12th and running through October 3rd. ⁢Dates include September 12th, 13th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 26th, and 27th, as well as October 1st and 3rd. ‌
