Morocco: AMRC innovates and publishes its “Declaration of Intent” on Telework

The Moroccan Association of Customer Relations displays its determination to establish Telework as an innovative working method to offer to employees in the Customer Relations sector.

This determination was reflected in a “Declaration of Intent” which defines the 12 commitments on which the signatory members will have to rely to implement telework in the best conditions.

The AMRC’s declaration of intent provides a set of guidelines aimed at making telework accessible to employees while fully respecting the values of the AMRC. Indeed, in the absence of a specific legal framework regulating Telework in Morocco, the AMRC has initiated a set of practical provisions allowing its members to pursue Telework beyond the COVID-19 crisis and make it a lever of economic and social attractiveness.

This declaration gives concrete guidelines on good practices in telework, it is largely inspired by the values of ethics and social responsibility of the AMRC aiming at accessibility to employment, diversity, decentralization of regions, the employability of women and the inclusion of people with disabilities.

In addition to this declaration of intent, the AMRC took part in the work of the CGEM Social Commission, which is currently working on a proposal for a telework legal framework intended to be shared with the Ministry of Labor and the social partners and which could be the subject of an adaptation of the current labor code.

The Customer Relations sector, which employs more than 80,000 people, quickly adapted to the COVID-19 crisis by putting more than 40,000 employees into telework, and who still are.

The members of the AMRC are convinced that telework will make a positive contribution to the country and to all of its regions: it will contribute to sustaining the competitiveness of the sector, strengthening its place in the local economy and developing employment. throughout the territory.

They wish, through this declaration of intention, to establish telework as an innovative working modality for signatory companies, in a sustainable way, when this is possible, and to contribute to its development and to the use of methods to promote it and give it all its effectiveness.
