Moroccan women receive digital training promoted by Huawei.

Rabat (© 2023 Afriquinfos)- In line with its commitments to training and promoting digital skills, Huawei Morocco offers, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, certifying technical training and training in Soft Skills in favor of more than 100 beneficiaries. The aim is to strengthen women’s ICT skills, support women’s empowerment in technology and promote digital culture for a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

These new training courses, which will take place from March 13 to 20, 2023 in Rabat, are part of the “Women in Tech” program which is part of the memorandum of understanding signed during the Digitech Ecosystem Summit in July 2022, between Huawei Morocco and the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

Led by certified Huawei experts in artificial intelligence and Big Data, these training courses will offer 100 beneficiaries, including 50 women engineers from different backgrounds, the opportunity to discover the latest technologies, from artificial intelligence to Big Data, while highlighting before ‘Design Thinking’ which aims to be a concept at the service of innovation.

This unique initiative, born from the convergence of the visions of the two partners, emphasizes the consolidation of training in ICT for women, under the slogan: “Tech for her, Tech by her, Tech with her. ”

On the sidelines of this program, an opening ceremony was organized and marked by an “Expert Talk” session led by a representative of the board of directors of Huawei France, in order to promote an open and constructive exchange.

As part of this ceremony, Jason Chen, President of Huawei Morocco, assured that Huawei pays particular attention to the transfer of ICT knowledge and skills to its various stakeholders: “At Huawei, we firmly believe in the importance of cultivating and developing talent. Our collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in Morocco confirms this long-term commitment and is fully in line with Huawei’s perspective of promoting training and skills in ICT, particularly for Moroccan women, to a robust, inclusive and equitable digital ecosystem. The Ministry plays a vital role in shaping Morocco’s technology landscape and we are proud to work alongside it to achieve its ambitious goals.” he announced.

For his part, Jacques Biot, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huawei France, said: «It is a great honor for me, but also a great pleasure, to be present at this ceremony to launch the ‘Women in Tech’ project, which is part of the memorandum of understanding signed between Huawei and the Ministry of the Digital Transition and the reform of the administration during the Digitech Ecosystem Summit in July 2022. The participants in the program are the embodiment of the necessary transformation of public action to serve their fellow citizens in an ever more efficient way, so that the value generated by the living forces of the economy benefits everyone”.

To allow immersion in the heart of the corporate world, participants will also have the opportunity to virtually visit the Huawei Showroom in China, to discover practical cases of 5G and artificial intelligence.

In addition to technical training, training in Soft Skills will be planned during the month of May with a view to promoting female leadership within the public administration to support the empowerment of female civil servants and optimize, in finethe citizen’s experience.

The “Women in Tech” project is fully in line with the perspective of Huawei Morocco, which is tirelessly committed to developing the skills of Moroccan women in the field of ICT and in favor of an inclusive and dynamic digital ecosystem.
