More than 534 thousand doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 have been administered in the region

In a new health balance with the Covid_19 situation, health authorities reiterated the call to the population to complete their vaccination scheme against Covid-19.

“I would like to highlight the important vaccination process against Covid-19 that is carried out at the national level, which, to date, in the Coquimbo region has administered more than 534 thousand doses,” said the Seremi de Salud, Alejandro Garcia.

Along these lines, the health authority called on the population to “complete their cycle with the second doses. During the next week, the vaccination of lagging patients over 48 years of age will continue and the second doses will be prioritized for people who were inoculated between March 22 and 28. It is essential that people receive their two doses and thus complete their vaccination schedule, since only in this way will they be fully protected against possible serious cases of the disease ”.

At the regional level there are 58 vaccination points, which will continue to administer the doses for the aforementioned groups, that is why the health authority emphasizes the call to program and complete their vaccination schedule with the two corresponding doses.
