Non-sexist toys.

Staff from the Municipal Information Center for Women, dependent on the municipal delegation of Equality began last week to teach the program of the Municipal Educational Offer, ‘Equal Opportunities’, Aimed at 4th grade students.

Coordinated by the Education delegation, it takes place throughout the month of February and provides for the participation of 437 schoolchildren from ten schools in the municipality.

The Councilor for Equality, Zuleica Molinapointed out that its objectives are to reflect on the struggle of women to achieve equality and to analyze the different roles that society assigns to men and women.

The work will be done through notions about shared play between girls and boys for what normally assume the use of different toys regardless of gender and thus avoid projecting a stereotyped gender construction.
