More than 300 trucks have accumulated on the border in the Chernihiv region

Long queues of trucks formed at the checkpoints Senkovka, Bachevsk and Novye Yarilovichi.

In the Chernihiv region at the border checkpoints Senkovka, Bachevsk and Novye Yarilovichi, queues of commercial freight transport have formed. This was stated by the head of the press service of the Chernigov border detachment, Lieutenant Colonel Galina Shekhovtsova, informs Ukrinform on Wednesday, April 14.

“Before Easter, the demand for fruits and vegetables is growing, and the number of trucks that transport them is increasing,” Shekhovtsova explained.

According to her, transit trucks are queuing up – mainly from Georgia, Moldova, Serbia, Turkey, from where these products are exported.

In turn, the press secretary of the Northern Customs of the State Customs Service Anna Alekseenko says that the accumulation of trucks at the border is associated with the irregular implementation of customs clearance at adjacent checkpoints in Russia (Novye Yurkovichi and Troebortnoye). The situation has been going on since October 2020 and is already becoming the norm.

“Previously, there was a congestion of cars at the weekend, but now it is already constant,” the spokeswoman added.

At the moment, in front of the Senkovka checkpoint, 175 commercial vehicles stood in line to leave Ukraine on the morning of April 14. Their waiting time exceeds 13 hours. 70 trucks have gathered in front of the Bachevsk border crossing, the drivers have to wait for the departure for more than 17 hours. In Novye Yarilovichi, on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, the same number of trucks are at the entrance to the customs territory of Ukraine. They wait for a pass for about three hours. There are no queues of vehicles from the Belarusian side in the Belarusian p / p Novaya Guta.

In turn, at the border with Poland, there are 260 cars in queues, informs Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service. Ten cars are awaiting at the checkpoint Hrushev, 150 at Shegin, and 100 at Krakowiec.

Finally, 50 vehicles await at the border with Hungary at the Tisza checkpoint.

We will remind that earlier on the Ukrainian-Polish border a queue of hundreds of cars was formed… At the checkpoint Krakovets, 100 cars were waiting, at Shegini – 110. There were also queues at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
