More than 250 violations of “silence” per day – OSCE

OSCE mission recorded over 250 violations of “silence” in a day

Most cases of ceasefire violations were recorded by observers in areas north of Shyrokyne in the Donetsk region.

The OSCE SMM recorded 253 ceasefire violations. Of these, 127 cases were detected in the Donetsk region and 126 in the Luhansk region. About this on Tuesday, December 14 said in daily report No. 293/2021published by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine on 14 December.

“In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 127 ceasefire violations, including 11 explosions of undetermined origin,” the report said.

It is noted that the majority of such cases were detected in areas north of Shyrokyne. In addition, the SMM recorded 30 ceasefire violations near Aleksandrovskoye, which were assessed as live-fire exercises outside the security zone.

Over the previous day, 164 violations of the “silence” were recorded in the Donetsk region (the majority – also near Shyrokyne).

“In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded 126 ceasefire violations, including 18 explosions of undetermined origin,” the SMM reported.

It is clarified that most of the violations occurred near the disengagement area in the Zolote region.

We will remind, in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in the uncontrolled territories OSCE has identified 235 pieces of military equipment, located in violation of the withdrawal lines and outside the designated storage sites for weapons.
