More than 21,000 Ukrainians received in the Netherlands • Jetten: we do not pay in rubles

OPEC+, the cartel of thirteen oil-producing countries with a few temporary allies like Russia, intends to ramp up oil production again. It is the expected outcome of the OPEC+ consultation. In May, 432,000 barrels more oil will be pumped every day than at present to meet the demand for oil and slow the oil price.

OPEC has been ramping up oil production for months after previously curtailing oil production. However, production figures show that the promised number of extra barrels is far from being achieved. Some countries fail to maintain or ramp up production, so less oil is being pumped up than said.

Russia, not an OPEC member but a partner, is currently the world’s largest oil exporter, accounting for 12 percent of the entire oil market. Russian oil accounts for a quarter of European oil consumption.
