More than a million people continue without applying the first dose of the vaccine against covid-19, according to the most recent update of data from the Ministry of Health (MINSAL), which corresponds to June 29.
The figures account for 4,598,833 first doses applied to salvadorans; 4,305,625 are second doses; 1,709,961 correspond to the third and 308,372 to the fourth.
Taking into account the official population projections published in 2021, there are 6,325,827 inhabitants in the country and of this number, a total of 5,700,208 are people 6 years of age and older, that is, they are authorized to be vaccinated.
Given that 4.5 million first doses have been applied, there are 1.1 million who, despite being of age, have not been vaccinated.
