More State Construction Companies Selling Property Assets

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Construction companies are busy selling property assets. Not only Hutama Karya, but PT PP (Persero) Tbk, Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, also do asset recycling. From several official statements, PTPP in collaboration with PT Danareksa Sekuritas launched a program to accelerate post-pandemic performance improvement which is expected to open up opportunities for investors to own property inventory assets managed by property subsidiaries.

A total of 19 property assets owned by PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO) and PT PP Urban were released in bulk (bulk). The property assets located in big cities consist of high rise buildings (student apartments, premium apartments to low medium apartments) and vacant land (landed) with a total area of ​​46.1 hectares.

In addition, PPRO’s assets that participate in the program are Grand Kamala Lagoon, which is located in the heart of Bekasi, and has a lifestyle mall in the area. This sales program is an alternative funding from the equity side apart from other funding sources. Which can improve the company’s capital structure by suppressing the increase in interest-bearing debt and can improve performance because there are profits that can be recorded from these transactions.

Likewise, Waskita Karya wants to sell 5 property assets belonging to its subsidiary PT Waskita Karya Realty. Properties are sold either in bulk or in clusters. The details of the property in question consist of apartments, commercial areas, and vacant land located in South Tangerang, Surabaya and Bali.

Waskita Karya SVP Corporate Secretary Ratna Ningrum explained that the results of this divestment are expected to have a positive impact on financial performance. In addition, the proceeds will be used for other investment funding in 2022.

Recently, Hutama Karya (Persero) also wants to sell 7 inventory assets in several locations. The assets sold are vertical buildings, which include mixed-use residences that are integrated with public transportation and toll roads.

The state-owned construction company, PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT), has received all State Capital Participation (PMN) funds in the context of a rights issue corporate action of Rp 7.9 trillion. The company targets the targeted amount of funds to be Rp11.96 trillion.-

Hutama Karya’s Executive Vice President Corporate Secretary, Tjahjo Purnomo said that this was in line with the company’s transformation process.

“We hope that many investors will be interested and participate in this program,” explained Tjahjo from a statement, Tuesday (25/1/2022).

Investors who are interested in participating in this program can register, which details will be provided at the product launch in early February 2022.

“Later on, there will also be an investor gathering session which we will announce to print and digital media in the first week of February 2022,” he explained.
