A more contagious British variant of the corona virus is advancing further. Now Ireland also reports that the mutation has surfaced in the country. Irish authorities hope to clarify the spread of the mutant virus in the country soon.
In Europe it had previously been found in the Netherlands and Germany. The highly contagious mutation had recently been identified for the first time in England. According to British scientists, it does not appear that this variant makes any sicker or is more deadly.
Japan reported at least five cases of the British mutant earlier Friday. Because of the new variant, many countries announced a ban on travel to the United Kingdom.
