Last Friday, Gabriel Bascou, a 27-year-old from Montpellier was violently stabbed in the throat by a stranger armed with a cutter. The suspect filmed by surveillance cameras was arrested and taken into custody, it was not his first assault.
The nightmare ends for Gabriel Bascou, the 27-year-old Montpellier man, assaulted in Harlem, in the streets of New York. Leaving the restaurant with his partner, whom he had just joined for barely a day, the photographer from Montpellier, was violently stabbed in the throat by an unknown man.
An assault as free as it was rapid which could have cost him his life. An extremely urgent tracheostomy enabled him to recover.
The suspect was not his first assault
The man who had been caught on surveillance cameras, running out of the crime scene, was suspected and actively wanted by New York City Police.

As stated in New-York Post, the suspect, a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged. Already known to the police, Khalief Young, served almost two years in prison from 2015 to 2017 for possession of a firearm. The American newspaper also specifies that the attacker lives in the neighborhood where he attacked Gabriel Bascou.
Recidivist, last October, he had beaten his neighbor with kicks and punches and assaulted a store employee in the same way as Gabriel Bascou.
