Montpellier won the Top 14 final against Castres Olympique at the Stade de France.
During this victory, the Montpellier residents made two performances which had not been performed in the final of the Top 14 since that of 2006 and the victory of Biarritz Olympique against Toulouse.
Thus, Opta indicates that Montpellier are the first, since 2006, to have scored more than two tries in a Top 14 final.
In addition, Montpellier won the biggest Top 14 victory since 2006 (29-10) in terms of the points difference between the two teams.
In 2006, Biarritz Olympique humiliated Toulouse with a score of 40 to 13.
