After that of La Verrerie, Montluçon habitat has created a second intergenerational room. It was inaugurated yesterday rue Nicolaï in the heart of the Saint-Pierre district.
The principle is the same as for the first: to allow the inhabitants, and in particular the seniors, to appropriate it to meet there, organize activities and thus create social ties. The Public Office, which has also created 3 suitable accommodation units within the same residence as this intergenerational hall. Total cost of the project: nearly 200,000 euros.
Montluçon habitat which intends to go further by offering, in the long term, the concept of serviced residences for seniors.
