The state supports clubs, associations, organizations and communities with a total of 4.6 million euros. In Wiesbaden and the Taunus, 21 projects benefit from this.
The state of Hesse supports sports clubs, associations, organizations and communities financially. Projects in the Taunus and Wiesbaden also benefit from this.
The state primarily supports smaller clubs with the financial subsidies. The range of support extends from the acquisition of new sports equipment to securing training and games to promoting youth work, informs the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and for Sport.

In the Hochtaunus district In addition to the 50,000 euros for the Royal Homburg Golf Club 1899, there is money for a further seven projects. Among other things, 45,000 euros go to the gymnastics club Bommersheim 1891 for the construction of a three-field beach volleyball facility, 14,000 euros to the Friedrichsdorf tennis club for the construction of a small playing field and 8,500 euros to the Oberhöchstadt tennis club for the roof renovation of the club house and tree felling work.
In the Main-Taunus-Kreis Four projects were considered, including the gymnastics community Weilbach (4900 euros for the renovation of the shower facilities and the construction of rain canopies), the gymnastics and sports fans Hornau (4800 euros for the purchase of 20 table tennis tables and two net systems) and the equestrian group Rossdorf (300 euros for hosting a tournament).
In Wiesbaden six projects receive money. N plus sport GmbH, for example, receives 30,000 euros for the City Biathlon 2021, TSG 1861 Sonnenberg receives 13,000 euros for converting the hall lighting to LED technology, and the Golden Boxing Gym Wiesbaden 10,000 euros for a new training facility. gust

The largest projects funded by the state in the Hochtaunuskreis, in the Main-Taunus-Kreis and in Wiesbaden are the construction of a new chipping green with practice bunker and toilet building for the Royal Homburg Golf Club 1899 (50,000 euros) and the construction of an LED Floodlights for three tennis courts at the Tennis 65 Eschborn club (20,000 euros) and the roof renovation at the 1886 Igstadt gymnastics club (43,000 euros).
210 grant notices with a total amount of almost 4.6 million euros have been sent across Hesse. Sport not only serves health, but also increases cohesion on site, said Interior and Sport Minister Peter Beuth (CDU). The pandemic in particular clearly shows the social importance of sport.
Beuth emphasized that the development of popular sport is one of the core tasks of the Hessian state government: “Our focus here is primarily on the areas of health, integration, the social tasks of sport and youth sport.”
