“While driving through this section of the road, an object lying on the road caught the attention of a police patrol. When a car in front of them passed over it, paper clippings began to float within a radius of tens of meters,” described police spokeswoman Monika Kozumplíková.
The police therefore stopped immediately to see what it was all about. And what was their surprise when they found out that the object on the way was a wallet and the flying clippings were money.
“The patrol collected all the money it found in the area. It was mainly banknotes worth two thousand crowns,” said Kozumplíková.
In total, police officers found almost forty thousand crowns, thirty euros and personal documents in the area, including a payment card for a man from Hodonín.
A happy man came to pick up the lost money at the police department in Zlín. “He explained that he was in Zlín to shop, he put his wallet on the roof of the car after the purchase and completely forgot about it,” the police spokeswoman concluded.
