Modi Vows to remove “Every Infiltrator” as He Campaigns in Bihar
Purnea, Bihar – September 15, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today delivered a strong message on border security during a rally in Purnea, Bihar, stating that “every infiltrator” must leave India. Addressing a large gathering in the Seemanchal region - an area long grappling wiht concerns over infiltration from Bangladesh and possessing a significant Muslim population – Modi linked the issue to the safety and security of women in Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam.
“The people of Bihar, Bengal, Assam are worried about the security and safety of thier sisters, daughters… we’ll get the infiltrators out,” Modi declared, directly targeting the opposition Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), whom he accused of historically protecting those who illegally cross the border. “In India, only the law of the land will prevail.”
The Prime Minister’s visit – his seventh to the poll-bound state since January – was focused on advancement, with the inauguration and foundation laying of projects totaling over ₹36,000 crore. These projects span crucial sectors including agriculture, energy, railways, housing, and women empowerment. A key highlight was the inauguration of the new terminal building at Purnea Airport, with flight services commencing today.
however, the focus on “infiltrators” underscores the government’s strategy to leverage security concerns as a key campaign theme in the upcoming elections. Modi framed the issue as a matter of law and order, emphasizing the responsibility of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to address it.
The Prime Minister’s remarks are likely to resonate strongly in the border regions, where anxieties surrounding illegal immigration and its potential impact on local communities are prevalent. This visit signals a clear intention to prioritize these concerns as the election season intensifies.
