Opposition to the overall project

“The Castres-Toulouse motorway project is outdated. Old from 2007, it dates from before the pandemic, economic, financial and social crises and ignores climate change ”explain the groups in their call to demonstrate. This site was nevertheless declared “of public utility” in 2018. A year ago, the State officially launched the procedure for concessioning the A69.

Only, during last summer, opponents of the project discovered that three quarries should be installed on the agricultural lands of the municipalities of Saint-Germain-des-Près, Montcabrier and Villeneuve-lès-Lavaur to meet the supply needs of Highway. However, these were not taken into account when carrying out the project impact study. Today, the collectives denounce the “illegality” of these methods.
