Mizuno Golf Unveils Stylish New Finishes for Popular Irons and Wedges

Players Gain Aesthetic Choice Without Performance Compromise

Golfers seeking to personalize their club aesthetic can rejoice as Mizuno introduces striking new Black Ion and Denim Copper finishes to three of its acclaimed models. This expansion offers players more visual options for their Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal irons and Pro T-1 and T-3 wedges, without altering the renowned performance characteristics.

Aesthetic Evolution for Proven Performance

Mizuno is enhancing its popular JPX 925 Hot Metal irons with a sophisticated Black Ion finish. These irons feature a cast Nickel Chromoly 4335 cup face, a multi-thickness CORTECH design, and tungsten weighting in the 4- through 7-irons, all contributing to increased ball speeds and a higher launch. The new finish reduces glare, offering a stealthier appearance that complements the club’s technology-driven profile.

The Mizuno Pro T-1 wedge, a staple for precision play, now boasts a Denim Copper finish. Crafted from Grain Flow Forged 1025E mild carbon steel, the T-1 incorporates a copper underlay for enhanced feel and is available in multiple grind options. The Denim Copper hue, exclusive to the United States, provides a classic aesthetic that minimizes glare and offers a refined look.

For enhanced forgiveness in scoring clubs, the Mizuno Pro T-3 wedge receives the Black Ion treatment. This model features a shallow cavity back and a slightly elongated head shape for improved stability. Like the T-1, it includes Quad Cut and Hydroflow micro grooves, the copper underlay, and various sole grinds. The Black Ion finish lends the T-3 a bolder, contemporary look, creating a pleasing contrast against turf or bright conditions.

These new finishes are set to be available starting September 18. Golfers can expect to pay approximately $165 per JPX 925 Hot Metal iron and $180 for each Pro T-1 and T-3 wedge.

In 2023, Mizuno ranked among the top five most searched golf brands on Google, indicating a strong and sustained interest in their equipment offerings. This move to provide more customization options aligns with a trend where consumers increasingly seek personalized gear.
