Users of this model can directly update their phone to the latest MIUI skin by navigating to Settings> My Device> About phone and check for new updates. However, to avoid server overload due to traffic, updates will be pushed through OTA to the affected model starting Sunday (6/28/2020), as quoted by GizmoChina, Monday (6/29/2020).

MIUI 12 feature leaked

Apart from the new features brought by MIUI 12, this new update also has a Super Wallpaper feature that users can use to decorate the background of a cellphone with three-dimensional planetary images.

With this development, we can expect that the MIUI 12 Global Update will start launching soon. Previously, Xiaomi also leaked that MIUI 12 will be equipped with a dark mode 2.0 feature.

Later the brightness of the wallpaper will follow the time changes. The font contrast will also change according to the environment.

There is also a feature called Sensory Visual Design. This feature will allow users to see graphs or diagrams about their cellphones when entering Settings.

Another feature offered is Ai Calling. This feature allows users to answer phone calls automatically using various languages. There are also picture-in-picture (PiP) features for applications, as well as enhanced privacy features to strengthen the mobile security system.
