“Mission Impossible” will provide jobs for 200 Norwegians

About 200 Norwegians will work on the recording of “Mission Impossible 7” in Møre og Romsdal, writes Åndalsnes Avis.

According to newspaper the recording will take place in Rauma and Stranda in September. Last week, it was announced that the major production with Tom Cruise in the lead role will be exempted from the entry restrictions.

During the filming, there will be a film crew of a total of 200 foreign and 200 Norwegian employees, documents the newspaper has had access to show.

The American production will carry out a number of strict infection control measures, and they have stated that they will have daily self-declarations and temperature measurements, among other things. There will also be healthcare professionals present continuously, and they will have a mobile test lab for covid-19.

Mission Impossible 7 has been awarded close to NOK 50 million from the Norwegian Film Institute. The previous Mission Impossible film made a number of recordings in Norway, and several intense scenes were filmed at the Pulpit Rock in Rogaland.
