Miss Universe Appears in Sport Bra to the Airport, Asked to Wear Covered Clothes

Jakarta

Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo recently shared her unpleasant experience at the airport. In an Instagram Story post uploaded by her sister, the beauty queen who is now an actress was asked to wear a closed dress by the officers. Her dress was considered inappropriate because she was wearing a sports bra and shorts. They think it’s unfair.

Olivia Culpo and her sister recently traveled by plane for a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Like most people, Olivia seemed to be wearing clothes that she felt comfortable on the flight. She also wears a sports bra and shorts as well as an all-black outerwear. Looks sporty and stylish, unfortunately because of this style Olivia is barely allowed to get on the plane.

In a post uploaded by her sister, Aurora, the American Airlines flight they were on thought Olivia’s clothes were inappropriate for flying. “Olivia and I are going to Cabo and see how she looks. She looks cute. She looks decent. No,” said Aurora.

“They called her to the desk and said if she had to wear a blouse or else she couldn’t get on the plane. Tell me isn’t that something really messed up,” she continued.

Nick Jonas’ ex-girlfriend could not help but obey the officers. In the photo that Aurora then uploaded, the 29-year-old woman was wearing a gray hoodie to cover her exposed upper body.

They felt it was unfair because they saw other passengers wearing similar clothes. A woman was seen wearing a bralette and leggings combined with an oversized cardigan. But the officer did not reprimand or ask him to change his clothes. It seems the officer asked Olivia to cover up because the chest is more exposed.

Olivia Culpo is not the only woman who has been reprimanded at the airport when the clothes she wears are deemed too revealing. Quite a number of women who vent on social media say that if they are asked to cover their body parts, they are even embarrassed when wearing short or tight clothes. Many people think it is sexist.

Some airlines do apply strict rules related to flights. For example, Delta asked passengers not to wear underwear, swimwear, and sleepwear as outerwear. Meanwhile, United Airlines has been in the news for banning the use of leggings on planes, although it was finally allowed after protests by several celebrities.
