Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin supported the proposal of United Russia to work out a mechanism to limit food prices. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications Alexander Khinshtein, reports TASS.
According to Khinshtein, Mishustin agreed with almost all the proposals of the faction. We are talking about limiting the prices of medicines, food and other essential goods. Also, the head of government supported issues related to supporting businesses, employers, small and medium enterprises in terms of tax holidays and the introduction of a delay in the payment of rental payments, the head of the committee said.
The idea of freezing food prices was voiced by the head of the faction, Sergei Neverov, during a meeting with the government, which passed in video conferencing format.
