Saturday afternoon, firefighters from the Moyeuvre-Grande, Fameck and Thionville barracks and the gendarmes from the Thionville company intervened in Fameck. An eighteen-month-old toddler allegedly grabbed a plate containing soup and burned his chest and arm.
He was helicoptered and then taken care of by staff from the pediatric department of the Brabois hospital in Nancy. The vital prognosis is not engaged and the results are rather reassuring. He did not have to undergo a transplant or surgery. The little one will probably stay a few more days in the hospital to check his wounds. The investigation is still open but the offense has not been qualified. “According to our initial investigations, this is a domestic accident,” said Colonel Guillaume Chanudet.
