Andreeva’s Comeback Triumph
The 18-year-old Andreeva secured her first-ever grass-court quarterfinal berth. She overcame Clara Tauson with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory. The match lasted an hour and 49 minutes, and it finalized the quarterfinal lineup in Bad Homburg.
Before this win, Andreeva hadn’t tasted grass-court victory for nearly two years. Her last success on the surface occurred during the 2023 Wimbledon third round. She came back strong after losing to Magdalena Frech in Berlin.
