The Miranda Governorate maintains 47 sanitary hotels for the isolation and treatment of patients with COVID-19.
From the entity, Dr. Saúl Díaz explained that the hotels are intended for compatriots who return from other countries and have tested positive for PCR tests.
Likewise, the medical professional stated: “These people will carry out a clinical follow-up by the different doctors. There they will receive prophylactic treatment after having direct contact with patients with COVID-19 ”.
He added that the treatment received by infected people is chloroquine, and he is given a daily dose for six days.
“Once they complete the 10 days of quarantine, a control PCR is performed, and if 14 days have passed without manifesting symptoms, and the results of the rapid test have given negative, the patient is immediately discharged,” he highlighted. Diaz.
He recommended that people who have left these sanitary spaces remain isolated for 14 days as a preventive measure.
