The pioneers of social networking sites in Saudi Arabia circulated a video clip showing the miraculous escape of a foreign worker from death after he was hit by a very speeding car on a highway in the capital, Riyadh.
The video showed a towing truck driver as he pulled a vehicle parked at the edge of a highway in Riyadh, before a speeding car hit him and threw him hard to the ground.
According to the newspaper’s website,ObservatoryThe driver of the speeding vehicle ran away in his car, and did not stop to check on the worker, while the driver of the broken down vehicle came running to check on him.
The newspaper did not indicate the extent of the damage suffered by the injured worker, or his physical condition after that incident.
Some commentators considered that the worker was at fault because he did not follow the usual safety procedures in such cases, as he was supposed to put warning signs for drivers before he started towing the parked car.
