A minor suspect who allegedly was involved in the mass brawl on the beach of Blankenberge has received a community service from the juvenile judge. The boy had no legal history.

In the context of the massive brawl that took place on the beach of Blankenberge on Saturday afternoon, a minor has now also been arrested. Today he already appeared before the juvenile judge who imposed a service performance on him. This is reported by the public prosecutor of Brussels.
Not known to court
The boy, who, like the other three arrested, comes from Brussels, is accused of armed rebellion, prosecutor spokeswoman Willemien Baert confirms. During the fight, officers were attacked with beach chairs and umbrellas, among other things. However, the boy has never come into contact with the court before and gets away with community service. He will have to provide a service for the benefit of society.
Three other suspects were already brought before the investigating judge in Bruges on Monday. Their proceedings are still ongoing. Other suspects may also be arrested in the coming days and weeks. Investigators are currently analyzing the images in order to also get other stakeholders in their sights.
