Minnesota on the wire, the Warriors roll out

There were only two NBA games tonight. The Minnesota Timberwolves overcame the New York Knicks (112-110) while the Golden State Warriors easily dismissed the Detroit Pistons (102-86). Minnesota had made a better start than its opponent, counting up to 12 points ahead at the end of the second quarter (61-49). In front of their home crowd, New York gradually returned before widening a small gap of 9 points towards the end of the 3rd quarter. The Wolves will quickly come back and will pass in front at the end with 30 seconds from the buzzer thanks to Karl-Anthony Towns then thanks to a free throw from Patrick Beverley. Evan Fournier has the equalizer, but his shot was blocked by Jaden McDaniels. Alec Burks then missed a three-point shot for the Knicks. In the other game of the night, the Warriors were never worried against the Pistons, penultimate in the Eastern Conference. Steve Kerr’s players were already leading 66-38 at the break. With 21 points, Klay Thompson achieved his best performance, he who was playing his 5th game since his return from injury.
