“Everything was clarified regarding the disappearance of Sashko from Pernik. Autism helped him cope with this situation. He was a loner. This is the conclusion of the doctors who examined the child. The case is closed. This is a very exciting case for us,” said Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev of the investigation into the disappearance of the child from Pernik.

Today Minister Demerdzhiev awarded the men who found Sashko in the forest after the child had been missing for 9 days. Sashko, who arrived with his father, was also present at the ceremony.

As for the case against Georgi Semerdzhievwhich was heard yesterday in the courtroom, the interior minister assured that the case will be closed by the end of the year.

“The initial check regarding the friend of Simon Radeva concluded that he had not committed a disciplinary offence. I ordered another inspection, which should be completed in a few days, and the conclusions will probably be different,” Demerdzhiev said on the “Face to Face” program on bTV.

“Over 40 Interior Ministry employees have been checked in connection with the ‘Semerjiev’ case. Disciplinary proceedings will be completed by the end of the year and many will be punished. We have also checked over 9,000 police officers for narcotics.” he also said.
